Canon Character Information
Appearance: He would say that he ain't no great shakes, which may be a case of beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He is 65 years young and about as rough around the edges as buckshot If mussed where a fashion trend Bobby would have it mastered. He is around 6 feet tall, with salt and pepper hair. His hair is mostly thinning, and he is sporting a slight beer belly. He doesn't care what he looks like. He is most always in jeans, flannels, and his hat unless of course he is on a case.
History Bobby Singer
Personality:
If you were to look up Bobby Singer in the dictionary, you would probably find the words cantankerous, loyal, and protective. He is all of those things and so much more. Bobby grew up in an abusive home, with an alcoholic father. His upbringing, explains his protectiveness of the Winchester boys, his band of hunters, and his fondness for alcohol. Alcohol seems to be Bobby’s version of pain management.
Bobby is the rock that his base of hunters was based around. There is nothing that he wouldn’t do for the men that he calls family. They might not be his blood, but to Bobby that is inconsequential. He never had a loving, stable family growing up, so he was bound and determined to make one himself. It is that determination that makes him truly a force to be reckoned with, he may not have a college education but Bobby is a brilliant man. He can think his way out of almost any situation he faces. His fierce will is what forces him to stab himself rather than killing Dean when he was possessed by a demon. Demons are strong beings in their own right, not many people can force their way past them. Bobby's love for Dean allowed his "pack" instincts to emerge. Dean was his, and there was no way that he was going to let his boy be hurt. Bobby’s knowledge of the world has taken him years of practice, putting deeds into action. He is an expert marksman, and fluent in at least two languages.
He takes his role as caretaker of all hunter’s very seriously. He's a man of many faces, and has multiple phone lines in his home each labeled, so he knows which identity to assume. He can see the bigger picture of most things and set petty differences aside for the good of the job. There is nothing more important to Bobby than protecting his hunter’s.
He is a grounded person, able to look past the emotions of the moment, and keep everyone around him grounded as well. There is nothing in the world that Bobby views as more important than Sam and Dean Winchester. He picked up the slack from John even before he died. Bobby only wanted to give the boys a somewhat normal life in this crazy world that they live in, he took then on real hunting trips, watched ball games with them, and drank. For all his practicality Bobby is hardly an unemotional man. He has a temper, but unlike Dean, his temper isn’t quick, but rather a slow-building, festering wound. Bobby bides his time, and suddenly it will explode with everything that Bobby is feeling at that moment. He very rarely asks for anything in return for the help he gives, which is why when Bobby went off to Sam and Dean about helping him for once they both sat up and paid attention. Bobby is intensely proud of his boys, and does his best to show It by being there whenever they need him, no questions asked. He has also taught the Boys to pay that gift forward, which they do for Charlie.
He was the son of an abusive father, and never wanted to pass that onto his children, so he never had any of his own. Sam and Dean filled that void for him. He is intensely proud of them, and both calls them heroes and talks them off the ledge when they remind him too much of John. He is of the firm belief that they did not have to end up like John, so focused on revenge that It killed them.
Powers/Abilities/Talents: Skill set I am only taking his skills as a human as given his canon point he has no angelic skills yet.
AU/CR AU Addendum: If your character is considered AU, please tell us what about them makes them AU and why you decided to make these changes. What 4 items would you like your character too have with them on the island during their stay? The items can be items from home (no bigger than a dirt bike), a past game, or pets (not exceeding the size of a large dog, direwolf or mabari hound). Rumsfeld the dog, a hex bag, some of his books on lore, his flask
Samples - Can be linked
First Person:[Bobby could be seen pacing back and forth as the device kicked on unbeknowst to him. He didn't even know that the damn thing turned on honestly.]
Self-Sacrificing Idgits! [He paused and looked up towards the sky. What he was looking for he didn't know, but unlike Dean, he did believe in a higher power of some sort. He wouldn't go as far as to say God, but he had seen some pretty weird shit in his day not to believe in something]
I can't believe I'm doin' this, and if anyone ever asks Crowley I will deny it to the grave and back again. [His mouth is contorted into a thin line, as he lets out a sigh. The weight of the world is seemingly on his shoulders.]
Are you there God? It's me, Bobby. I feel so damned ridiculous doing this, but Jesus it ain't like you gave us much choice. You see, my boys.... well my boys are more important to me than my own life. Yeah yeah, I know that their not mine but they might as well be for as much as John was around. He loved them.... he did, but I taught them what it's like to fight for something that's right, no matter what the cost.
Now I know that Sam was a self-sacrificing Idjit for falling into that damned pit, but he was tryin' to do good. He just has a back-asswards way of showin' it. I guess what I'm tryin' to say is trade me for Sam. Dean needs his brother. I've lived a good life they can make it without an old broken-down saw horse like me.
[He swipes his hat off his head]
Uh, yeah... thanks.
Third Person:TDM, Dean
